Mother’s Day, Spring Plants & New Veggies
May 2019 Newsletter
Ah, the month of May. We are excited to welcome all sorts of fun becomings as our store grows in its greenery, flowers and fruits galore. Our selection of organic plant starts is also blooming—with all sorts of spring hardy veggies like kale, cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, chard, beets, onions and an assortment of herbs and flowers to spruce up your home atmosphere & garden. Some of our specialties feature gorgeous (and practical) hanging baskets of rosemary, begonias, strawberries and geraniums. Every week our selection expands as the days warm and the sun stays out longer. We love being in tandem with the seasons! Check out our website for details.
Spring veggies are also in: fresh cut herbs, hot house cucumbers, lettuces, kale, chard and more. We are sure to use these wholesome harvests in our bakery as well. Cucumber salad, carrot cookies, potato bread and favorite falafel all featuring farm ingredients, fresh prepared for you to enjoy. Keep an eye out for fresh prepared salads and more soup varieties to come at our lunch bar.
A special thanks to all of the Mothers out there. With the nurturance of feminine energy, we celebrate you this Mother’s day (& always). Looking for a place to celebrate? We’ll be holding a Mother’s Day Breakfast featuring house made pancakes, quiches, home fries and delicious French toast and of course, coffee, tea and other fresh baked goodies. Come make merry in the greenhouse sitting area, surrounded by the gifts and spirits of Mother Earth! Sunday May 12th 8-12. We also have our splendid lunch selections if you can’t make quite it in the morning. Call to reserve a table 413-367-3071
